I had a date with Edward and Bella tonight!

Well, My date with Edward was figurative (he's in the movie), but the one with Bella was real! ;) Yup, Bella and I went to see Twilight tonight. As you know, I got hooked on the books a few months ago (you can read about it here) and we had decided back then that we'd see the movie together. So we met up after work, had dinner at Cage aux Sports (Panini Club, yum!) and went to the movies.
Now, I wont give any spoilers, but I am discussing the movie, so don't read if you're like me and don't want to know what others think ahead of time.
The movie was --how should I put this?-- really bad. The acting was horrible, too many parts were skipped in order to fit in 2 hours, which means we didn't get the whole picture, makeup was bad, Edward is not nearly as good looking as he should be, Jasper has a horrible hairdo... And yet, I LOVED it!!!! Yes, I admit it, I loved it. I think it's because I read the books, so I was able to "fill in the blanks." They had to fit so much into 2 hours that they didn't get the emotions across. If you haven't read the books, you'd never believe that Bella would fall for Edward. You wouldn't understand why Edward feels so connected to Bella and yet cut-off from her. This movie makes sense only to those who have read the books and are already in love with these two characters. To those who want this tender love story to be real. To those who see Edward in their soup! ;) I'm glad I saw this with Bella; if Keith had been with me, I would've cringed the whole time knowing he was finding it cheesy (but he'd never admit it me, he knows better!)

On another note, please stand up and scream: YAY FOR NICO!!!!!!
He made it to the finals of So You Think You Can Dance Canada. That guy totally rocks, I will be shocked if he doesn't win (kinda like when Danny lost to what's her name on SYTYCD.) kwim? Let me finish this post with this solo from the Top 10:
