Practical Scrappers June Sketch Challenge

Every month at Practical Scrappers, we get a great sketch to work with.  This is the sketch for June, courtesy of Liz Chidester:

And this is my version of it:

I love starting with a sketch and adding personal touches to make it my own!  Come and check out what the other PS designers did with this sketch!

You Are Music **Practical Scrappers**

Today's blog post over at Practical Scrappers is all about print paper.  Anything from music to newspaper to books.

Here is my version, using a Sassafras sheet of paper with a music print.  These pictures were taken in January 2008 when Sean wasn't even 4 years-old yet!  It was during our vacation in Cuba.

Background paper: Pebbles
Patterned paper: Sassafras (Nerdy Bird and Apple Jack)
Letters Forever in Time, Cosmo Cricket and Adornit
Flower: Making Memories
Butterfly punch: Martha Stewart

I made this for Practical Scrappers.  The subject was "little girls".  This little girl is the best around, and I love this picture of her!  Check out all the other project here.

It's Official!

Good morning everyone!

My blog post today has a dual purpose.  First, it's the title of my layout.  Second, I can now officially announce that I was asked to join the Practical Scrappers design team!  I'm thrilled because I get to join my awesome pal Erin on the DT!

Here's my first layout for Practical Scrappers.  My challenge?  To use a collage.  I chose a template from Scrapbooks Etc. and finally used pictures from Sean's first haircut.  Yes, he was five years-old before he got his first official haircut.  Before that, I'd trim it myself.  With his curls, you couldn't tell if I did a bad job, LOL!
