Crate Baby

I made this layout, using Cosmo Cricket's new Tea For Two collection, as a store sample for Scrapbook Centrale.  I actually made it while cropping at the store last Friday, and since I had to leave it there, I quickly photographed it using my P&S.  Hence the less-than-stellar pic of it.

I love this picture taken by my cousin Caro :)

Paper: Cosmo Cricket - Tea For Two (Rose Petal Jam, Tea Tins, Tea Towel, Butter, Cup & Saucer, Sugar Cubes)

Letters: American Crafts and Jillibean Soup

Not Sporty, Me? **Practical Scrappers**

Hello everyone, how have you been doing?  I'm doing quite well, all things considered.  I'm in my 25th week of pregnancy (I think... To tell you the truth, I lost count!) and I have been diagnosed with gestational diabeties.  Which means I need keep an eye on everything I eat,  test my blood sugar 5 times a day, and inject myself with insulin 7 times a day (3 different kinds of insulin).  As you might guess, that's a lot of planning and juggling!  But that's okay, as long as it means a healthy baby in the end!  :)

I'm here to share my latest work for Practical Scrappers.  We were challenged to use letter stickers for something other than a title.  We all have these letter sticker sheets that are no more than mere skeletons of what they used to be.  With no more vowels and way to many Ws and Xs, it's hard to come up with words.  Why not turn them into an accent?

Here is my layout, where I turned those letters into the shape of a football (although my husband will argue with me that it doesn't look like a football.  Men!)

Supplies:
Black letters: Karen Foster and Arctic Frog.
Papers and stickers: Cosmo Cricket.
Puffy letters: American Crafts.

Make sure to check out the other layouts for this challenge here!

Up, Up & Splash **Nikki Sivils and Cosmo Cricket**

Good morning everyone, hope all is well with you!

Before I do anything else, I'd like to ask your opinion about something. Lately, I've noticed some pictures I pick up at Costco come out quite dark. I'm wondering if you think it's them or not. You see, I always tweak my pics on my laptop. If you own a laptop, you'll know that you see your screen lighter or darker depending on the angle of it. Perhaps when work on my pictures, I see them lighter than they actually are? Do you have thoughts on that?

Anyway, here's a layout I made the other night while on Skype with Erin. I've had these pictures in my stash for a while now. Since Scrapbook and Cards Today now has a summer call going on, I figured it was time to scrap them.

How much do you love the background paper?! Believe it or not, it's from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker's Christmas line, North Pole Nights! The other papers are by Cosmo Cricket, the Early Bird collection. My pal gave JJ gave them to me and I am using up every single scrap!

Supplies:

Patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket, Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker

Journaling spot: My Mind's Eye (Laundry Line)

Sticker: American Crafts

Pins: Fancy Pants

Buttons: MOD for Autumn Leaves in Whirligig

Punch: Fiskars

Pen: American Crafts

Ink: Ranger

Other: Pop-dots
