16 March 2011

Hello again everyone! Today, I'm sharing a very simple layout that I absolutely love. That picture of Zoey when she was barely 10 days-old is awww-inducing, isn't it? I can't believe I hadn't scrapbooked it yet!

I started with sketch #401 from Scrapbook Challenges, turned it on it's side, and reduced the quantity of squares. I was going to use 9 squares, but as I was going through my stash (I'm trying to use up what I have before I buy anything else!), I found this old Jillibean Soup kraft journaling tag that I absolutely wanted to use. So I made it work.

Supplies:
Papers, button, and sticker: My Mind's Eye
Journaling tag: Jillibean Soup
Tag: Maya Road
Numbers: American Crafts
Border sticker: Basic Grey
Twine: The Twinery

What a Sweet Girl

Good morning! Yesterday I worked on this layout for this month's challenge at Creative Embellishments. I had this gorgeous CE frame that I really wanted to use. I sprayed it with Bubblegum Pink Dylusions and it worked perfectly with the papers from this My Mind's Eye collection, My Girl. I love the end result!

My first She Art canvas

Thanks to my awesome friend JJ, who offered me this workshop as a present, I made my first mixed media canvas.  I love her, she's going on my wall in my scrap corner!

Yes she's crooked, but I decided it's because she's swaying to the sweet music of her life ;)

Happy Girl :: October Afternoon

Good morning everyone, I'm so glad you came by to visit lil' old me!

Did you do anything for NSD? I spent the entire day scrapping with my buddies Erin and JJ. We had a lot of fun, that's for sure! I managed to get 3 layouts done, which is what I expected.

This layout, made with October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection, was one of those layouts. These papers make me so happy!

I took a pack of 2 big Prima flowers and turned them into 3 smaller flowers (with more to be used another time.)

I used cute illustrations from the reverse side of one of the OA papers. It's not something I usually do, but I really, really like how it turned out! It's nice to try something different once in a while.

Supplies:
Papers: October Afternoon (Fly a Kite)
Rub-ons: October Afternoon (Fly a Kite)
Letters: American Crafts
Flowers: Prima
Buttons: American Crafts
Punch: Martha Stewart
Pearls: KaiserCraft
Twine: Jillibean Soup

Happy National Scrapbook Day!! **Giveaway Closed**

Hello everyone! How are you doing on this fine day?

Today, I'm off with some of my friends for a day of scrapbooking, chatting and coffee drinking! Great way to celebrate NSD, don't you think?

So, you read "giveaway" in my title and now you want to read about it, right? First off, let me show you my latest Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker layout:

I used "Ellie's Day Out" collection, I love it! So girlie! It's perfect for my daughter. You can see her here with my cousin Caro's daughter, Béatrice. How sweet are they?!

Now, on to the giveaway. Nikki has generously offered a full paper collection from Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker to one of my readers! Make sure you visit my fellow DT members (see list in my sidebar.) Most of them have a giveaway as well!

How can you win, you ask? Simple. Just let me know, in a comment, what you are doing today? Are you scrapping at your lss? Are you scrapping at home? Are you not scrapping at all? Simple, isn't it? I'll draw a name using random.org tomorrow.

Good luck, and enjoy NSD! :)
