I've Never Been So Proud!

Here's a layout I created to document this awesome story about Sean. I was inspired by the sketch from Laura Whitaker for the December 15th challenge over at Stuck?! Sketches.

I used an old collection from October Afternoon, Night Light. I still love it as much as I did then :)

Papers: OA
Letters: OA and American Craft
Circle Embellies: Elle's Studio and OA
Frame: Jillibean Soup
Wood Veneers: Studio Calico
Flair: Simple Stories
Dylusions sprays

Pretty Cool!

Practical Scrappers challenged us to use some ribbon on a layout.  I don't often use them, even though I have a ton of them (like most of you, I'm sure!)  I ended up making 2 layouts, here is the first one.  I was looking for a different way to use my ribbon, so I decided to simply fold the ends and staple them.  Easy peasy!

I decided to go through my stash and use some embellishments I've had for a long time.  I used a Scenic Route arrow and Nikki Sivils' awesome burlap buttons (my favorite embellies of hers!)  I also used Maya Road journaling spots.  They were on my scrap table and it was so easy to reach for them :)

Materials
-Prism cardstock in Frosted Teal
-October Afternoon patterned paper - Hometown collection
-Pebbles May Bouquet patterned paper (bloom, to mat photos)
-American Craft chipboard Thickers (Typo Black)
-Maya Road journaling spots
-American Crafts Flair badges (Good Golly)
-Nikki Sivils burlap buttons (black)
-Crate Paper trims - Neighborhood collection
-Scenic Route arrow
-Unknown ribbon
-Ranger Stickles (Black Diamond an Yellow)
-Staples
-Sharpie pen

Make sure you check out the other layouts here!

Me Likey : : October Afternoon (Creative Scrappers sketch #125)

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is having a Pink crop this w/e, and they are sponsoring Creative Scrappers' sketch #125. I decided to play along. First off, here's the sketch:

And now my layout:

Almost everything here is from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection.

The Day After : : K&Company

Wow, I can't believe it's been a whole week since I posted a layout. What with watching hockey (Go Habs!) to going to bed earlier than usual, I simply did not scrap. I'd have some time to scrap during the day, but that means scrapbooking with my daughter and sometimes it's more than I can handle, lol!

So, with Sean's 6th birthday coming up on Friday (!!!), here's a layout about the day after Kira's 3rd birthday.

Supplies:
Papers, letters and die-cuts: K&Company (Greenhouse collection)
Other letters: October Afternoon
Butterfly: Jillibean Soup
Gems: unknown
Flowers: Doodlebug Designs and Prima Marketing
Ribbon: unknown
Pen: Staedtler

Happy Girl :: October Afternoon

Good morning everyone, I'm so glad you came by to visit lil' old me!

Did you do anything for NSD? I spent the entire day scrapping with my buddies Erin and JJ. We had a lot of fun, that's for sure! I managed to get 3 layouts done, which is what I expected.

This layout, made with October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection, was one of those layouts. These papers make me so happy!

I took a pack of 2 big Prima flowers and turned them into 3 smaller flowers (with more to be used another time.)

I used cute illustrations from the reverse side of one of the OA papers. It's not something I usually do, but I really, really like how it turned out! It's nice to try something different once in a while.

Supplies:
Papers: October Afternoon (Fly a Kite)
Rub-ons: October Afternoon (Fly a Kite)
Letters: American Crafts
Flowers: Prima
Buttons: American Crafts
Punch: Martha Stewart
Pearls: KaiserCraft
Twine: Jillibean Soup

Break Time

Here's one I made at Erin's the other day. The yellow-with-white-polka-dots paper was cut with her new Cricut Expression.

I love the Farm Fresh collection by October Afternoon. Check out the sheep and the cute pig! They make me happy!
