Lucky You - Scrapbook Challenges GDT Sketch #384

Today marks my last day as Guest DT for Scrapbook Challenges. I had a great time and I will definitely take part in their future challenges!

This is my take on sketch #384, Lucky You:
Darn, forgot to add the date...

This is my daughter Zoey with my brother-in-law Pascal, her Godfather. He always lights up when she's around; I love seeing them together.

I used a prompt from Mojo Hunting. I dug out my journaling tags and used 2 of them on here. One to write on and one to embellish.

Supplies:
Papers: Authentic (Journey and Abroad)
Journaling tags: Jillibean Soup and unknown (I want to say Making Memories? Anyone?)
Cork shapes: Pink Paislee
Burlap buttons: Nikki Sivils
Letters: American Crafts and My Mind's Eye
Ink: Quick Quotes

C'est à 40 ans...

I originally made this for the Jillibean Soup feature on Practical Scrappers, but I was too late turning it in.  Make sure you check out the link to see the great layouts created by my fellow DT members, and for your chance to win a neat Jillibean package!

These are probably my favorite pictures I ever took of my brother and BIL.  They look so in love, it's beautiful!

Papers and letters: Jillibean Soup
Chipboard stars: No idea.  Can anyone help?

Thanks for stopping by!

February '10 - Project 12

Scrapbook and Cards Today got together with Becky Fleck at PageMaps to create Project 12. Basically, it's a nudge to have us make a layout a month about what that month has been like. Whether you took 30 photos, 2 photos or none at all, it's all about putting it down on the page. Becky provides a sketch every month that you can use, but it's not mandatory. This was the sketch for the month of February:

I decided to use her sketch and I stayed quite true to it. I like to modify sketches usually, but 2-pagers are difficult for me, so I just stuck to this!

Now that I'm writting this post, I just realized I never posted my January layout. I will fix that this week!

Supplies:

Papers: Bella Blvd

Letter stickers: American Crafts and KaiserCraft

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics

Journaling spots: Jillibean Soup and Luxe Designs

Chipboard heart (covered): American Crafts

Punch: Fiskars

Pen: Staedtler

Thanks so much for stopping by♥
