When You Dream, Dream Big **My Mind's Eye Challenge**

Hello everyone, how are you doing today? I am quite exhausted tonight as I write this. I spent two hours at the playground with Kira this morning, and another hour-and-a-half with both kids when Sean came back from school! It was such a lovely day! Warm with a nice breeze, it felt good after a cold an rainy weekend!

There's a challenge going on at the My Mind's Eye blog until April 22nd. The challenge? To be inspired by this sketch by Anam Stubbington as well as by the song Dream Big by Ryan Shupe & The RubberBand.

This is the layout I made:

I went to JJ's on Friday night because all the usual suspects for the crop at Scrapbook Centrale could not make it. That's when I created this layout. The background paper has the cutest little umbrellas on the reverse side, but I bought it for those yellow polka dots! I absolutely love it! Being in the presence of the "Distress Queen" made me pull out my ink for the edges! :) I used MME's gorgeous velvet alpha from the Lush collection, it's so rich and beautiful! And the ribbon by Jillibean Soup? I'd use it on everything if I could!

Here is a closer look at the journaling:

Supplies:
Papers: My Mind's Eye (Quite Contrary) and KI Memories (for journaling strips)
Alphas: My Mind's Eye (Lush) and October Afternoon
Ribbon: Jillibean Soup
Die-cut: My Mind's Eye
Punches: Fiskars and Martha Stewart
Ink: Tsukineko
Pen: American Crafts

Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.♥

I love your LO, but even more, I love the message you wrote to your beautiful girl. So true, Claude... we need to teach our kids to dream and give them the opportunities to reach for those dreams. <3
