I don't listen to much news, hard or otherwise. I usually get the information I need from Keith. So it was a shock to me when I saw this article today. Majel Barrett Roddenberry lost her battle against leukemia on Dec 18th. Her name was synonymous with Star Trek, and not just because of her husband. She definitely lives on through many incarnations of Star Trek! Up above is a picture of her as Lwaxana Troy, as I will always remeber her. :)

Here's an interesting link I came across many years ago. If you have more books than you can think of, but don't know what to do with them, why not release them into the wild?? Someone else could sure use a good read!

She was such a sweet, sweet, sweet lady. So friendly to the fans. Generous of her time.

Not a Star Trek fan (don't really watch much TV) but I really love that link you included. Very cool.
I remember when my dh told me she'd died. Very sad. :( I think I heard the story on CBC Radio later that day, and they had a sound clip from the show with her as the ship's computer, signing off.
