For the life of me, I thought I had posted this, but I can't find it.  Pregnancy brain,perhaps?

After 2 years being on the design team for Scrap Within Reach, my term has now come to an end.  Here's one of my last layouts as a designer for them.  I used the Georgia Rain collection.  My friend Noémi came up with the title.  See, my cat's name is Nuage (don't ask, I can't remember how we came up with that name!) which means "Cloud" in french.  With the rain boots and all, his name is really à-propos here!

One of my projects for Scrap Within Reach this month was this card.

I  like to keep my cards simple, just like my layouts.  I absolutely love the colours in the Georgia Rain collection, and that polka dot paper is my absolute favorite!  So I made sure the colours in the inside of the card showed through while still keeping my beloved polka dots in the forefront!  I also cut this "flower" from one of the papers and attached it with a brad.  I cut up the letter stickers to make them rectangles instead of squares so that they would fit better.

Hello everyone!  How are you doing?  I hope you are ready, because I have started scrapping again!  My first trimester is finished and my mojo is back, so I have quite a few layouts in the wings!  I am having trouble with my laptop's cooling fan, however, so I can be online too much, but as soon as it's fixed (very soon, trust me!), I'll start posting them!

For now, here are my two monthly projects from Scrap Within Reach, using the Industrial Park collection.

My first one is a card called Remember When.  We were asked to create a card or a layout on the theme of, well, remember when, lol!  Clever me, right?!  :)

We were also given this sketch by PencilLines:

I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted! I have probably 5 or 6 unfinished layouts somewhere on my scrap table, just waiting for journaling or a few finishing touches.

Now that I am in my second trimester, I can feel my mojo slowly coming back. Hopefully, I'll have tons of layouts to show you soon!

In the meantime, here are the two projects I made for Scrap Within Reach. We were asked to showcase the mini Kraft bags.

A layout and a card : : Scrap Within Reach

Hello everyone! How are you doing on this fine day?

I'm here to share my 2 Scrap Within Reach July projects (a day late, I know, having DH at home on vacation got me confused with all the days!)

This layout is new, but the picture is not. It's from October 2008, which means Kira wasn't even 2 years-old yet! How time flies! I used the gorgeous Carnival Ride collection (papers and red letter stickers.) Isn't it super fun?!

Other supplies: Nikki Sivils cloud stamp, Karen foster black letter stickers, LYB date stickers, Staedtler pen, pop-dots.


For this card (we gave it to my FIL, who turns 85 tomorrow), I used the Paper Boy collection (papers) and Afternoon Tea rub-ons. I love these rub-ons. Like buttah, I tell ya!

Summer Mini Album : : Scrap Within Reach

Okay, let me be honest here: I don't like mini-albums. I think I've said it before. I don't like making them and I don't like them once they're done because I see them as clutter. My kids, however, love them. They see them as little books about them (as if all the big albums I make aren't about them!) So once in a while, I make one.

I started with this. You'll have to excuse the bad picture, it was 11 at night when I took it.



As you can see, it's a fleur-de-lys. However, I couldn't use it as-is and I'll tell you why. You see, I live in the province of Québec and this is our flag:


So when I see a fleur-de-lys, all I can think of is this flag, and more specifically our national holiday, la St-Jean-Baptiste. I know there's a lot more meaning behind this emblem, but my head sees what it sees, what can I say! Since I didn't have pictures of us celebrating said holiday (well, not enough pics), I decided to alter the album. I made this:


A bird! Cute, cute! I used Scrap Within Reach's Urban Garden collection.

And now, my kids are happy! :)

Scrap Within Reach Projects

Good morning everyone, how are you doing today? I went to bed late yesterday (1 AM) and I feel completely knocked out! Especially since I've been going to bed early for a couple of weeks (9:30-10)! Tonight is Sean's first day at T-ball and as soon as we get back, I'm heading to bed. I'm not as young as I used to be, lol!

Heidi at Scrap Within Reach challenged the DT with two sketches this month. We had to make one layout and one card, we could choose which project went with which sketch.

And here is the layout inspired by it. I used the Carnival Ride collection. I love those big letters, don't you?

And here is a Father's Day card I made with it using the Paper Boy collection. It was going to be for my husband, but I realize now that since he reads my blog, I'll have to come up with a new card! I used my new Texture Boutique that I won from Scrapbook and Cards Today. It's so cool!

This is Urban Garden

I made a Mothers Day card using one of Scrap Within Reach's new collections, Urban Garden.


I decided to try making an easel card. I've seen it done so many times and I loved the idea. I looked for a tutorial, I used this one by Mary at My Stampin' Dreams. It's actually very easy to do once you see it done.

Don't you love the colours in this line? Gorgeous!

Snow Great **NEW Scrap Within Reach**

Here it is, ladies and gentlemen (by gentlemen I mean my husband and brothers, lol), my first layout of the new term on the Scrap Within Reach DT! I used one of the two new collections, Cambridge. As always, the distressing on SWR's papers is amazing! And the reverse sides are gorgeous, they are perfect to use as backgrounds.

I used the letters and ribbon that were made to coordinate with the Industrial Park collection. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they went so well together!

Finally, Sean's first-day-of-school layout! I was really happy when I put my pictures next to this paper by Scrap Within Reach. The Paper Boy collection just fit so well with them!
Here is the journaling. I used Tombow's Vellum Adhesive for this clear journaling spot. It works wonderfully! I dare you to find where I put the adhesive! No, I didn't only put some under the black part! :)

Card - Scrap Within Reach

My brother celebrated his birthday on the 10th, and we had a dinner for him tonight. As I have mentioned before, I am not a card maker. Nor am I a stamper. I love stamps, but I don't want to get involved in the whole "buying them and those darn Copics", LOL! I indulge once in a while in a few stamps, and I have been lucky enough to win a few also. That's enough for me. I have no qualms, however, in using my friends' stamps! Since I know nothing about stamps, I don't even know which one this is... I want to say The Greeting Farm, but I could be wrong. I colored it with some watercolor pencils I have here and I must admit, it was fun to color!

Ready. Set. School. **Scrap Within Reach**

I absolutely love how this one turned out. These are some of my favourite Scrap Within Reach papers, they are so perfect for boys! I found this MME die-cut title in my stash (my strong handsome little man) and it worked perfectly here. Gotta love when that happens! The "100% boy" sticker is from SWR's "Paper Boy" collection also. I inked a Maya Road chipboard circle and then added the sticker. I covered 2 more chipboard circles with SWR paper.

Oh, and here's a secret I'll share with you, my dear blog readers. See that letter "h" in the word "school"? Well, I didn't have an "h" anymore, so I used an "n" and a part of a "j" and used the "adventure" sticker from SWR's sticker sheet to hide the seam... Shhhh, don't tell anyone! ;)

I Love To...
